as most of you know, i'm currently training for a half marathon. don't get too impressed, though, because i'm walk/running it. shout out to my trainer, kimmy sue, for doing a stellar job of distracting me and making the laps go by as quickly as possible.
so we started our training on january 9. we ran/walked 2 miles [2 minutes running, 1 minute walking]. needless to say, i was a tad out of shape. since that horrific experience 16 days ago, and with the help of working out 6 days a week, i am pleased to say that i'm finally becoming one of those people who loves exercising. sure, it's a pain in the butt to get off your butt and get to the gym, but once you're there it's the most relaxing [i hesitantly use that word] part of your day. when we first ran 3 miles, we ran it in about 43 minutes. i'm pleased to say that today we did 3 miles in 38.5 minutes. although i may not be the fastest runner, i'm persistent and i finish -- which is the most important part.
advice for the day? finish what you started. when you think you have nothing left in you, i promise that you WILL find a way to accomplish it if it's important to you.
happy hump day, snitches.
xoxo Ollie.
