i am.

i am:
A girl that is
Living proof that miracles can happen
If we really really desire to make a change.

i used to be:
Overweight,
Bigger than the average male,
Eating 24/7,
Sluggish,
Extra-large,
&
Motionless,
Idiotic [because i wouldn't give up eating]
Selfish,
Enormous,
Robust,
Angry with myself,
Big, brown, and not so beautiful,
Lethargic,and
Embarrassed

after 18 months of hard work, i am:
Hilarious,
Attractive,
Perfect in my imperfections,
Petite [well, almost]
Youthful [as i should have always been],
&
Heavenly
Energetic,
A heartbreatker,
Loving myself,
Teeny-tiny
Hot,
Yummy [according to my roommate],
&
Living the life i've always wanted,
Optimistic,
Victorious,
Invincible,
Normal,
Gorgeous,
Lucky,
Immensely happy,
Fat no more,
Everything i've imagined i could be.

hi ollie.

happy sunday, everybody.

can i just say that i'm pretty sure i'm the happiest i've ever been?  my life is absolutely perfect -- i'm learning to love myself, accept myself, and embrace my quirks.  my friends are uber supportive, school is going swell [92% on my law test], and i think i'm finally figuring out what i want to do with my life.  i am a happy little girl who is amazed by how much she has accomplished.

l'chaim!

xoxo the skinny ollie.

an update.

as most of you know, i'm currently training for a half marathon.  don't get too impressed, though, because i'm walk/running it.  shout out to my trainer, kimmy sue, for doing a stellar job of distracting me and making the laps go by as quickly as possible.

so we started our training on january 9.  we ran/walked 2 miles [2 minutes running, 1 minute walking].  needless to say, i was a tad out of shape.  since that horrific experience 16 days ago, and with the help of working out 6 days a week, i am pleased to say that i'm finally becoming one of those people who loves exercising.  sure, it's a pain in the butt to get off your butt and get to the gym, but once you're there it's the most relaxing [i hesitantly use that word] part of your day.  when we first ran 3 miles, we ran it in about 43 minutes.  i'm pleased to say that today we did 3 miles in 38.5 minutes.  although i may not be the fastest runner, i'm persistent and i finish -- which is the most important part.

advice for the day?  finish what you started.  when you think you have nothing left in you, i promise that you WILL find a way to accomplish it if it's important to you.

happy hump day, snitches.

xoxo Ollie.

why my life is fantastic.

why my life is fantastic:
[1] i'm still as cute as ever.
[2] i got bronchitis over winter break so i got to catch up on my coco time.
[3] i have a job!  TA, ladies and gentleman.  a whopping $7.90 an hour.  my mom said that they should pay us more for slave labor -- i don't think she was joking.
[4] i am in love with my roommates.  this is good, considering they're my roomies from last semester :]
[5] my bff kimmy sue turlay is back up in rexburg this semester.  i love her.  super lots.
[6] speaking of best friends... cameron came to visit!!!  cameron is my best [guy] friend who currently lives in hawaii.  we haven't seen each other in 14 months, so the reunion was stellar.  we hung out in rexburg for a couple of days, and then road-tripped down to utard to hang with his family [and drop him off to fly back to hawaii].
reunited and it felt so good.
our group from freshman year [minus mike and taytay]
[7] i got a stunning dress for christmas from sister #2.

[8] i'm training for a half marathon!!!  my bff kimmah said to me, "we always have these long term goals for losing weight -- why not have something to look forward to."  i thought she was planning a vacation to hawaii to reward ourselves... yeah, i was wrong.  so i'm currently training for a halfmarathon that kim and i will most likely complete in mid april.  and here's the best part -- she's training WITH me.  kim is already a runner who previously trained for her own half marathon.  since i'm out of shape [think kirstie alley] she runs next to me, cheers for me, and basks in the glory of finishing a 2 mile run/walk in 27 minutes.  have i told you lately that i'm so freaking grateful for our friendship?

and that's an update on my exciting [and very hectic] life!  peace and blessings, my sweet angels.

xoxo ALi
